The national brand behind your local team
Recognition earned by The Brothers That Just Do Gutters
These honors went to the national brand and its founders. Here’s what each one was for, and what that backing means for the Tacoma franchise.
The Brothers That Just Do Gutters was founded in 1999 by brothers Ken and Ryan Parsons, and it has only ever done gutters. Over the years the brand has been recognized by business magazines, chambers of commerce and a national remodeling publication for its growth, its workplace culture and the way it treats customers.
To be clear about who earned what: the recognitions below belong to the national brand. The Tacoma franchise is owned and operated by Jamie and Zeke Edwards, a husband and wife team who both grew up in the South Sound. What they bring here is the system those honors were built on.

Remodeling Big50, 2012
In 2012, Remodeling magazine selected Ryan Parsons and Ken Parsons to join the Remodeling Big50, presented at the Remodeling Leadership Conference in Baltimore, MD on May 11, 2012. Each year since 1986, the Big50 has inducted 50 owners of remodeling companies that set high standards for professionalism and integrity, after an evaluation and interview process run by the editors. The brand was selected in the Niches category, which fits a company that just does gutters. “We are very honored to receive this distinction,” said Ken Parsons, Senior Solutionist. The brand’s recognitions also include a place in Remodeling’s Forty Under 40.
What that backing means in the South Sound
- You meet a Solutionist, not a salesperson, and the estimate is free, written and itemized.
- Seamless runs are extruded in your driveway and cut to the exact length of your roofline.
- Metal only at the roofline: aluminum, copper and bonderized steel, nothing plastic.
- A local number and owners who live here, not a call center in another state.
- Show up on time, do clean work and tell you the truth, even when your home doesn’t need anything yet.
